Mark (or as his friends and family call him, Max) has worked in a variety of industries during his career, but he has always loved working with his hands and creating things to make others happy. Whether he’s cooking an incredible meal in the kitchen or building his grandchildren a new step stool, Max is always happiest keeping busy. So when he was diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma in September 2019, spending months in treatment both in and out of the hospital, he wasn’t quite himself. During his final treatment, Max knew he needed a new plan. He wanted to do something that he enjoyed and he wanted to work with his hands, but most of all he wanted to make products that would make people happy and that they could share with family and friends. It was there that the idea for Barrels O Fun was conceived, initially just ideas on paper, but soon followed by prototypes, and now products for all to enjoy!

Max lives in Woodland, CA with his wife of 37 years, Cathy. He has two daughters, two son-in-laws and four grandchildren. The family has always been close and enjoys good food, good wine, and lots of laughs.
